 Last Saturday in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) the exhibition with a theme "graffiti as art" on May, 22nd has opened. Many artists have taken part in it. Such as Floksy, Folmer, Sy, Splash (DS), Sjam, Robe (STßG), K-real (TAD), Trun (TAD), Wais (TAD), Three (TAD), Note, Roof169, Ima (ATAS), Mednoy (SAP13), Lst, Rash, Twol (Bananas), Sofer (158 crew). The part of works presented at an exhibition has been created in the plainair on May, 15th which was a component of the project with a theme "graffiti as art" and these works will be shortly exposed on sale at our website. We hope that we will spend such action a few times and we thank all participants, and also those who has supported action(Administration of Krasnogvardejsky area, TC June, the International festival of arts the Master class, paint MTN94, shop Graffiti Market, studio 5 floor).  On May, 15th has passed our first plaiair devoted to a theme: graffiti as art. The general conditions of action had to creativity it is indisputable since there was an excellent weather, a magnificent landscape and an in itself place pleasant. Dissatisfied was not. 15 pictures of a size 800õ800mm have been written. All these works will be exposed in studio 5 floor in May, 22 till 28th. The announcement of the exhibition check here.  The canvas choice - one of the main questions which interests many artists. It is first of all a basis, therefore if the fabric is poor-quality it can badly be grounded a minimum, well and the maximum – a fabric will decay in due course also a picture will need restoration in the form of dubbing-in. The type of a canvas or other fabrics with a ground will influence the ribbing of a paint layer. It is not recommended to take a canvas with rare viscous, coarse calico, a canvas and other doubtful fabrics though artists often enough use also them. The best canvas from a hemp (hempen). Good - a linen canvas. Jute not the strong. Coarse calico decays in due course – owing to a paint layer bursts, but is grounded well also as well as a canvas. To write on them it is a pleasure. Ðàãîæà - the fabric of type of coarse calico, but is much more dense. Canvas from the rare viscous are very difficultly grounded, as at a first coat glue passes on an underside (and it is inadmissible), and also the expense and glue and a ground very high. Edges of such canvas wear easily out and torn. So before to choose a canvas be defined with style of a writing conditions in which will write a picture, by the size of product and other factors. If work of the small sizes - is better to take a fine-grained canvas (or a canvas). If work of very big sizes it is better to use a coarse-grained canvas (so-called Repinsky). Etudes and fast works are preferable for executing on fine-grained canvases with an oil ground (though it not absolutely reliable). It is better to write long works of the average sizes on a medium-grained canvas with glue-cretaceous a ground.
